A “new friend” has shared a common GNK story with me, this time involving the humble cheeseboard.

Apparently, GNK at one time made parts for a cheeseboard, and asked this “new friend” for a $10,000 investment to receive the parts, with which the “new friend” could assemble the parts, and on-sell the cheeseboards.

The trouble is, as soon as the “new friend” gave GNK the $10,000 – yes, you guessed it – the cheeseboard parts supply from GNK dried up, and GNK was off again on his merry way (with the “new friends” $10,000, of course).

There may be some other stories of this nature relating to both jewellery manufacturing, and the marine business – more later.

The “GNK Tally” now stands at $460,000 (and counting).
