This nice little package (120 days + 24-hour continuing recording onto a 500 GB hard drive, or longer when set to motion detection) will complement our ADT 24-hour monitored response alarm very well. Not a smart idea to go for the power or the phone lines either – doing so will now result in an immediate police and patrol response. And if you come into my house uninvited and threaten me and my family? I will “respond with proportionate force to you”. Enough said, really.

Update 20/2/12: I spoke this afternoon to a lovely woman at Henderson Police Station (Rae, who is sporting some simply awesome body art), who firmly informed me that any action I take to defend my family must legally fall into the realm of “proportionate force” to the aforesaid threat.
